Pharmacological properties

Cyprocoline is a complex drug, the therapeutic effect of which is due to the synergistic influence of the active components of the drug: ciprofloxacin and colistin sulfate.

Ciprofloxacin refers to the fluoroquinolones group.

The mechanism of action of ciprofloxacin is to inhibit DNA-horase of bacteria, which prevents the process of DNA replication, which violates the integrity of the membrane of the bacterial cell, which leads to its death.

Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride quickly elimites R-plasmids, which prevents the development of resistance of microorganisms to the drug.

The drug is active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, and especially against E.coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Serratia spp., Campylobacter spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Yerignosa, and Slop.i: Brucella spp., Staphylococcus spp. (including strains that produce penicillinase, and methicillin-resistant strains), Mycoplasma spp., Mycobacterium spp., Chlamydia spp.

When using the drug, ciprofloxacin is quickly absorbed from the digestive canal, entering the blood, penetrates all organs and tissues of the body, reaching a maximum concentration after 1-2 hours, the therapeutic concentration is maintained for 24 hours.

Cyprofloxacin is excreted from the animal's body with urine and bile.

colistin sulfate is an antibiotic of the polymixes group, which is synthesized by aerobic sporapping stick Bacillus polymyxa. colistin sulfate acts bactericidally on gram-negative bacteria (E.coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp. , Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp.

Unlike low concentrations of colistin sulfate in serum blood and tissues, high and permanent concentrations are always present in various parts of the digestive tract. Colistine sulfate is excreted from the animal's body with feces.

Application

The drug is used for medicinal purposes to dogs and cats in acute and chronic bacterial infections, whose causative agents are sensitive to ciprofloxacin and colistin (infection of the digestive tract, respiratory tract, genitourinary system, skin and soft tissues, eyes and ears, bones and joints); and with secondary infections.

Dosage

Before using the drug from powder, a solution is prepared.

To do this, 100 ml of drinking water at room temperature (up to the mark) and intensively drained until the powder is completely dissolved.

The required amount of the solution received is typed with a dosage syringe.

The resulting solution is used to dogs and cats orally in doses: 1 ml per 1 kg of animal body weight once a day.

The course of treatment is 3-5 days.

Before each subsequent application, the bottle is intensively detangled.

Warnings

It is not recommended to use:

• puppies and kittens before the end of the growth period due to the risk of cartilage tissue damage;

• animals with severe disorders of cartilage tissue development;

• in case of lesions of the nervous system, which are accompanied by seizures;

• females during pregnancy and lactation.

Do not use with increased individual sensitivity to the Composs of the drug.

Do not use, along with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics of the macrolid group, tetracycline and chloramphenicol.
